Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, is known as the “Garden City” and is famous for attractions like Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Cubbon Park, Bangalore Palace, and its vibrant tech-driven lifestyle. Just a few hours away, Mysore showcases rich history and grandeur with the majestic Mysore Palace, the spiritual Chamundi Hills, and the bustling Devaraja Market. From Mysore, the journey ascends into the Nilgiri Hills to reach Ooty, often called the “Queen of Hill Stations,” known for its cool climate, Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens, and scenic Nilgiri Mountain Railway ride. Nearby Coonoor offers a quieter retreat with lush tea gardens, panoramic viewpoints like Dolphin’s Nose and Lamb’s Rock, and charming colonial architecture. The trip concludes at Kodaikanal, a picturesque hill station in the Palani Hills, known for Kodaikanal Lake, Coaker’s Walk, Bryant Park, and the mysterious Pillar Rocks. This route provides a perfect blend of nature, history, and relaxation in South India’s most beloved destinations.

Days: 5 Nights / 6 Days

 

Day 1: Bangalore – Mysore

Once in Bangalore, continue on to Mysore. After arriving, have lunch and check into your hotel. Take it easy for the remainder of the day. Spend the night in Mysore.

Day 2: Mysore – Ooty

Visit the famous Mysore Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture, after breakfast. Next, proceed to Chamundi Hills, where the holy Chamundeshwari Temple is located. Start your journey to Ooty later. Enjoy lunch along the way while taking in the breathtaking vistas of Bandipur, Mudhumalai, and the Nilgiri Hills. When you get to Ooty, check into your hotel for dinner and a night.

Day 3: Ooty and coonoor sightseeing

Visit the stunning Rose Garden, which features more than 2,000 different types of roses, to start your day. Discover the tranquil Government Botanical Garden, which is home to a sizable collection of native and exotic species. After that, travel to Doddabetta, the Nilgiris’ tallest summit, which provides stunning views of the surrounding area. Continue on to Coonoor for sightseeing and lunch. See Lamb’s Rock, which offers breathtaking views of the Coimbatore plains, and Sim’s Park, a quaint botanical park. Visit a tea factory to learn about the production of tea as you wrap up the trip. In the evening, head back to Ooty for dinner and a hotel stay.

Day 4: Ooty to kodaikanal

Drive to Kodaikanal, a charming hill station tucked away in the Palani Hills, after breakfast. Make a stop at the magnificent 180-foot Silver Cascade Falls while traveling. Visit the Shanbaganur Museum, which features an extensive collection of plants, animals, and archaeological relics, as soon as you arrive in Kodaikanal. After checking into your accommodation, relax for the evening. Dinner and Kodaikanal overnight stay.

Day 5: Kodaikanal full-day sightseeing

Take a full-day sightseeing trip in Kodaikanal after breakfast. Take in the tranquil Upper Lake View after visiting the Kurinji Andavar Temple, which is devoted to Lord Murugan. Visit the Observatory Museum and the colorful Rose Garden. Visit the enigmatic Guna Caves and proceed to Moir Point for expansive views. Admire the magnificent Pillar Rocks while taking a leisurely stroll through the charming Pine Forest. After that, head to Suicide Point, also called Green Valley Viewpoint, for some amazing views. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along Coaker’s Walk before unwinding at Kodaikanal Lake to cap off the day. After supper, head back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6: Kodaikanal to madurai – departure

After breakfast, leave the hotel and go to Madurai, Tamil Nadu’s cultural center. See the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple, a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture, while traveling. Explore the colorful temple complex and detailed carvings for a while. With priceless memories of this tour, you will be dropped off at Madurai Airport later for your next destination.
